Bjørn Arnegard is a senior advisor at Railsupport AS and has a master's degree in organization and management, electronics engineer, technician and holds a professional certificate. In addition, he has various continuing education courses in safety, securing objects, risk, maintenance and public transport. He is therefore well up-to-date in terms of expertise in many subject areas. He is also certified as a Risk Manager and as a European expert in maintenance management.
Bjørn has extensive experience from operating railways, subways and airports. He has worked in NSB with maintenance follow-up, projects and was technically responsible for NSB local train fleet until 1999. After this, he worked as a consultant in Scandpower Risk Management with various analyzes within safety and maintenance, safety management, third party assessment (ISA), outsourced to safety functions in projects and to various middle management positions. He also established Scandpower Risk Management as a Notified Body for railway products.
After Scandpower, he was employed at Oslo Airport as a senior adviser on security and later head of risk management with responsibility for the airport's risk management. Here he had various tasks with adapting frameworks (methods and acceptance criteria) for risk management, reporting risks to management and the board, responsibility for the reporting system for unwanted incidents and he was an advisor for various analyzes for safety, HSE, vulnerability etc.
From 2014 he worked as a consultant at Rejlers, Railconsult department. In recent years, he has worked at Flytoget as a quality manager in a project involving the acquisition of new Flytog. Bjørn Arnegard started his position at Railsupport AS from 1 October 2018 and works on various assignments on railway vehicles; RAMS, quality, approval and advice to various customers at a strategic level on railway vehicles. He is also the company's quality manager and responsible for professional development in the company.
Bjørn is Prince2 certified.
